All I have to say is thank goodness my favorite portrait studio has reopened. I had my girls' pictures taken somewhere else when Ashlyn was born and they turned out awful. These are amazing and they took hardly any time at all.
And Happy Birthday one more time. This time it's Josh's Mom. She had so much help from grandkids that she didn't even need to blow out the candles on her own cake.
I can't believe it but Ashlyn is already six months old. She's sitting up and just figured out how to roll over. She loves playing peek-a-boo, jumping in her bouncer and being talked to. Most importantly, she's a mommy's girl which makes me feel loved.
If you haven't noticed yet, there are a ton of birthdays in September in my family. This is us. No one is allowed to have any more children in September.
This is Ashlyn and her cousin, Blake. Ashlyn was born on his due date and he was born a week earlier. Other than their size, they're two of a kind. They're going through the same things at the same time so I had to get a picture of the two of them together. The red light on the camera was too fascinating for them to smile.
Happy Birthday Mom. Josh had school on her birthday so the girls and I went over and ate dinner with her and took her a cake. We forgot to bring candles and they didn't have any on hand, so we improvised. Matches. It didn't work very well but it's the thought that counts.
Happy Birthday to me!!! Josh and the girls made me breakfast for my birthday. Yummy! I am definitely a breakfast person so that was a great start to the day.
Then my mom made us dinner. That's probably one of the best ways to keep me in a good mood. Take the stress of making food out of my life. Thanks Mom!!
Sadie started soccer. She's the smallest one on the team and her shorts are so big on her that they look more like pants. She seems to be having fun but has a tendency to watch people more than the ball or the game. I think her favorite part is that I bring apples for her to snack on. I know, it seems kind of funny that she's playing soccer so that she can eat apples when she can have them any time at home. As a matter of fact, I think that's what was in her mouth when I took this picture. Funny girl!!
We celebrate mine and Josh's birthdays together with the Smith family. Mom made us an amazing turkey dinner and we had pumpkin pie for dessert. It was like Thanksgiving a couple of months early.
Happy Birthday Dad!!! We surprised him at work today with some homemade cupcakes and some beautifully colored cards. The smile on his face when he walked back into work made all the stress of it worth it.
Sadie started preschool!! She was so cute on her first day. She said, "I'm so excited to use Kali's backpack and go to Kali's preschool." So much seems to be revolving around Kali and Ashlyn lately that she's been dying for attention and preschool is finally giving her what she needs.
My family has the tradition of going up Millcreek Canyon for breakfast on Labor Day. It was freezing cold this year so I spent my time by the fire. But the cold didn't stop the girls from getting as close as they could to the creek.
Josh's family goes to Copperton Park for lunch. Grandma Parry always organizes a car race with hotwheel cars and Kali won this year!! Sadie had fun too, but she didn't want to smile for the camera (surprise, surprise).
