The Bees Game

Josh got free tickets to a Bees game through his MBA program at the U of U so we made a family trip of it. We didn't stay for long because we rode Trax and didn't want to get home too late. The girls were just happy that they got to eat food and roll down the hill. But the best part was that we ran into...

THE BEE
on our way out.

Teeth

Aaaghhh!! Kali's first permanent tooth grew in but behind her baby teeth. Thankfully I had a dentist appointment scheduled for the next day so the dentist could take a look. Needless to say she will be having two teeth pulled this week to make room for the new one. I guess it's called shark teeth when they grow in rows like that. All I have to say is that with all the the teeth problems that Josh and I have had over the years, our children are doomed. I was just hoping that Kali was an exception to the rule because her baby teeth looked so good (other than the 6 cavities she has already had to have filled).

My Girls

The girls looked so cute this morning after I got them ready for church that I just had to take a picture of them for the blog. How did I ever get so lucky to have these three!!!

24th of July

Josh and I got realizing that neither of our families have a tradition for the 24th of July which is a very rare thing. So we did stuff together with just our little family. We spent the evening doing sparklers, throwing snaps, and blowing bubbles. It turned out to be quite relaxing and then it wasn't a super late night for the girls.

Sadie's Birthday

Sadie is officially three.

She wanted a Barbie cake with a purple dress. It took me way too long to make, but turned out pretty cute. Too bad for me that Kali wants one for her birthday now too.

Her birthday wagon was a pretty big hit. By the time all her grandmas and grandpas and aunts and uncles had given her gifts too, it looked like Christmas in July. She was spoiled rotten.

Swim

Kali just finished up her second swim class. The class was way too easy for her. She is seriously a fish!!! Thankfully she had a pretty easy going teacher, so she just let Kali do her own thing anytime she wasn't helping her.

Lipstick Girl

I have a child that is obsessed with chapstick and lipgloss. The only problem is that she has about eight of them and has to put them all on at the same time. So by the time she's finished applying them all, she has a goopy mess on her lips.

Family History

Before heading home from camping, we stopped at a few places in Koosharem that have some significance to my family. This house is on Bagley Lane and is where my great grandpa Hyrum Bagley grew up.

Then we stopped at the cemetery there to take a picture of his headstone. My great grandma died only a few weeks after I was born.

And this is the headstone that ties Josh and I together. We discovered after we were already engaged that we were related through the Bagley line. This Edward, who is my great great grandpa, has a brother named Joseph, who is Josh's great great great grandpa. That means we are 4th cousins once removed. How crazy is that. Thankfully we didn't find out we were 2nd cousins. That's just a little too close for comfort.

The Annual Bohman Family Camping Trip

Like every year, our camping trip was a big hit with the girls even though we were only able to be there for 24 hours. Sadie spent most of her time swinging in the hammock or getting very dirty.

Kali spent her time pretending with her cousins and picking flowers to give to me or to make "potions" with.

But surprisingly, the biggest hit was when we went looking for elk (a favorite of Grandpa Bohman).

Although you wouldn't know it from this picture, Ashlyn didn't turn out to be much of a camper. She didn't like the wind much but at least she slept better than she ever has for me -- 7 1/2 hours!

And Josh and I have decided that camping was a lot more fun when we were kids. Not as much work and a lot more play!!!

Goofy

I just thought I'd include this picture of Sadie because it's typical of her personality. I swear her goal in life is to be goofy and make people laugh. And most days she succeeds.
